We were excited to have our founders Abhik Majumdar and Philip West discuss building and designing scalable AI and Machine Learning systems using Amazon (AWS) earlier today. Mackenzie Kosut moderated and taped the event. Abhik and Philip firstly discussed Vidora’s technology. They then went through some of the latest tips and tricks which AWS offers to make machine learning at scale easier.
Vidora has been partnering with AWS for a number of years now. Because of this, we developed our sophisticated machine learning solution using their technology.
As Emmett McQuinn described, what each company’s developers ultimately choose depends on their unique situation. Ultimately, we believe the type of machine learning solution you’ll use (cloud-service, 3rd party, or home-built) will depend mostly on what you and your developers are trying to achieve. They also depend on the complexity of your goal. For Vidora, the solution was AWS.
Vidora enables anyone in any business to build and use complex machine learning models. With Vidora’s self-service platform, Cortex, scalable AI is intuitive, interpretable and fast. Cortex automates the entire machine learning pipeline from raw data to model outputs. Cortex was developed by experts in machine learning and artificial intelligence from Stanford, Berkeley and Caltech. And today, Cortex sits at the heart of some of the largest global brands, such as Walmart, News Corp, and Discovery.
